Aishwarya and I share same tastes in fashion: Shweta Nanda
Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan's elder sister Shweta Nanda says she and her sister-in-law Aishwarya have similar tastes in fashion and style.
“Aishwarya and I have a pretty much same choice of dressing. We like light, subdued colours in Indian wear and yes, I do think we have similar aesthetics as well,” said Shweta.
Seldom it is, however, that Shweta gets opportunity to go shopping with Aishwarya.
“Aishwarya has a busy schedule and work takes up most of her time. Besides, I stay in Delhi,” she said.
Asked whether she has received any cherished gift from Aishwarya yet, she said: “The fact that she loves my brother and takes care of him is a big gift for me.”
Dressed in an off white Indian suit with small silver motifs on it and a light green border, Shweta played minimalist sans jewellery and with light make-up.
On being asked why she chooses to wear light colours for Indian wear, she said: "Every girl tends to inherit a lot from her mother and my mother has always dressed in a simple and understated way. So that's one thing I have picked up from her. Colours like white, beige, gray are subdued and look good."
Shweta, who is a mother of two - daughter Navya Naveli and son Agastya - is married to industrialist Nikhil Nanda and says she is occupied with her children's exams right now.
