A B Bardhan re-elected as CPI Gen Secy for 4th time

Prominent Left leader A B Bardhan was on Thursday re-elected as the General
Secretary of the Communist Party of India for the fourth consecutive time.
In the election that was held in Chandigarh, Sudhakar Reddy has been elected as
the Deputy Secretary General of the CPI.
The election was held in Hyderabad at the party’s 20th National Congress
which began on from Sunday.
Bardhan was elevated to the post in the late 90s after the then general
secretary, Indrajit Gupta, vacated the post on becoming the Union Home Minister.
