Minister of Overseas Affairs, Vayalar Ravi has been given additional charge of Parliamentary Affairs Minister. The post was vacated by Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi, who also holds the Information and Broadcasting portfolio.
The biggest surprise of the well known expansion is the absence of Sachin Pilot from the list, son of slain Congress leader Rajesh Pilot. He was front runner along with other young horns as the United Progressive Alliance Government is about to enter into the election year.
M S Gill will take the charge of sports ministry from "reluctant" Mani Shankar Aiyar.
