Bomb panic at Presidency College
Panic struck the Presidency College campus after an anonymous call claimed on Saturday morning that a bomb has been planted on the college premises.
The call was received at the administration office around 10.20 am in the morning and was answered by the office head assistant. "The caller said that there is a bomb in the campus and plans are afoot to blow the college up. I was not there then, but my staff and colleagues called up the Jorashanko police station to check the matter," principal Sanjib Ghosh said.
DC (DD-I), Jawed Shamim said, the police scanned and checked the college campus thoroughly. "Officers of the bomb disposal squad rushed in with sniffer dogs and searched for five hours," he said.
