Mineworker found dead in his room in a WB village

A mineworker was found dead today morning at his house in Pachami in Birbhum
district. Malaik sheikh, the deceased, was a regular employee at Pachami mine in
Birbhum. When he did not report for duty in morning his colleagues came to his
room and found him dead. He was a resident of Pankur in Jharkhand.
The police is not ruling out the possibility of a murder. “ We have sent
the body for postmortem and only after that we will be able to give a conclusive
report,” a local police officer said, adding that his family members have
been informed about his death.
