Trinamool sets up road block; allege CPI (M) conspiracy behind floral market fire

The fire at Kolkata flower market has become the latest political plank for the Trinamool Congress. The party, which sees CPI (M) conspiracy behind even natural vagaries, has been quick to seize the opportunity to fire political salvos against the CPI (M). Trinamool Congress on Saturday has hit the roads in Kolkata setting up road blocks and alleging CPI (M)’s role behind the fire.

In its bid to reap political harvest, the party set up a massive road block on Howrah Bridge on Saturday afternoon ostensibly to express solidarity with the affected stall owners of the flower market. The Trinamool workers along with the traders of the market alleged foul play behind the fire. The party chief Mamata Banerjee, in no uncertain terms, alleged CPI (M) conspiracy behind the fire.

Meanwhile, forensic experts have started their probe into the fire. The market too, even after being completely destroyed in the fire, reopened on Saturday as the traders refused to get bogged down by the calamity. Not waiting for the civic authorities, the traders themselves cleared the debris themselves in the morning and resumed normal business.
