Pak, US will work jointly for peace

Islamabad, Sept. 30: Pakistan and United States have reaffirmed their commitment to a wide-ranging and long-term strategic partnership, based on shared values and a common effort to promote peace, security and the prosperity of Pakistan and the region.
During the third round of Pak-US strategic dialogue between Pakistan and United States held on Monday at department of state in Washington DC the two sides exchanged views on ways to deepen their bilateral cooperation.
Foreign minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi led the Pakistani delegation, while deputy secretary of state John Negroponte led the US delegation.
The Pak-US strategic dialogue was last held in Islamabad in September 2007.

‘Zardari, Singh meet for better’
Islamabad, Sept. 30: Pakistan foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that meeting between President Asif Ali Zardari and Indian PM Manmohan Singh was helpful to remove misunderstandings betw-een the two countries, reports our Pakistan correspondent.
He said, "We exchanged views for restoring composite dialogue process."
