No change in Kashmir policy, says Zardari

Islamabad
Oct. 10: Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has said that government’s Kashmir policy will remain unchan-ged. "There is no ambiguity between the position and the philosophy of PPP and that of the country. Our policy remains the same," said Mr Zardari.
"Those who know PPP have no doubt that the party’s position on Kashmir dispute remains unchang-ed," he added.
Talking to a delegation here on Thursday night, President Zardari said the government is sincere in holding talks with India and will not compromise on the "just struggle" of the Kashmiris for the right to self-determination.
The President was quoted in a recent interview as saying that terrorists were operating in the India administered Kashmir.

28 killed in Pak bus mishap

ISLAMABAD
Oct. 10: At least 28 passengers were killed and 20 wounded when a bus collided with a trailer near the Lodhran district on Friday.
"Eleven children are among the dead. Most of the injured are also children who are in critical condition," said a police official.
The accident occurred when Dunyapur-bound passenger bus collided with a trailer while overtaking near Lodhran.
Some of the injured told that the bus was travelling at a high speed when the driver lost control. The driver escaped after the accident.
The police said around 100 people, including children on their way to school, were in the bus. Witnesses said the bus was completely destroyed.
Doctors said several of the injured were in a critical condition and death toll could rise.
