Oct. 24: The chairman of Pakistan’s special parliamentary committee on Kashmir Maulana Fazlur Rehman said on Friday that his country wants immediate solution to the long-standing Kashmir issue.
"We have been positive and we will always be positive. We want to resolve the issue as soon as possible," Mr Rehman told Kashmir Project of Conciliation Resources London in-charge Jonathan Cohen here at a meeting.
The chairman said that Pakistan wants an early resolution of the Kashmir issue so that the people of South Asia can live in peace and devote their sources for development.
"The Pakistan government wants to resolve the issue peacefully. We want a solution which is acceptable to Kashmiri people," Mr Rehman added.
Also, Dr Maqbool A. Bhatti, a former ambassador of Pakistan and renowned analyst, currently president of Islamabad Forum for International Affairs also called on Mr Rehman and discussed the Kashmir issue in the light of his personal experience of international relations.
