Oct. 24: Four suspects in September’s Marriott Hotel bomb attack have been arrested, the police said on Friday.
"The four men were produced before an anti-terrorism court on Friday," a police official said. Sixty people were killed when a truck loaded with explosives blew up outside the hotel in the heart of the city on September 20.
The police said earlier the four men had been arrested at different times in different places. "The court has given us a seven-day remand for these men and we will continue our investigation," said senior police official Altaf Ali Khattak.
Mr Khattak said the four men, including a doctor and a lawyer, are currently held under various sections of the penal code and the anti-terror act.
The suspects were brought to court in Rawalpindi under tight security.
