Oct. 25: Britain’s immigration minister Phil Woolas, who has been spe-aking about becoming tough on immigration, was on Friday hit with a custard pie in face by members of a pro-migration group in Manchester.
Members of the Manchester chapter of pro-migration group No Borders pelted Mr Woolas, who earlier in October indicated that the Labour government would impose a cap on immigration in face of growing population, weakening economy and rising unemployment, with a custard pie in face as the minister was taking part in an environmental debate at the University of Manchester.
The pro-migration activists said that they first asked for his passport, then gave him an "eco-nationalist award" and finally threw a pie in his face.
The group also denounced his attempts to scapegoat immigrants for the ongoing economic and ecological crises.
Mr Woolas left to clean himself up and returned to join the debate on environment.
