Oct. 30: Pakistani tribesmen on Thursday forced two US drones, which flew into North Waziristan tribal agency, back to Afghanistan. "US drones made flights in different parts of North Waziristan early on Thursday. Tribesmen fired at drones after which they were returned to Afgha-nistan," a security official said.
He said that US drones made low flights in North Waziristan’s headquarter Miran-shah, Dattakhel, Ham-zoni and other adjoining areas. The tribesmen, he said, targeted drones with heavy and automatic weapons which forced them to go back to Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, Taliban militants stormed an Afghan ministry in Kabul on Thursday and one of them blew himself up inside, killing five persons and badly damaging the building, officials and witnesses said. The assailants first opened fire on the police guards outside the ministry of information and culture, before entering its hall where the explosion occurred.
