IVRCL net profit up 48%

May 28: IVRCL Infrastructures and Projects Ltd posted an annual net profit of Rs 2,105 crore, a jump of almost 50 per cent over the year-ago figure. Total income for the year was Rs 3,665 crore as against Rs 2,313 crore in 2007. Its performance was better than what analysts had expected.
"The higher profits have been a result of better topline growth. We have emphasised on better utilisation of our resources.
Even in the past, we have posted growth in excess of 45 per cent year-over-year," said chairman and managing director Mr Sudhir Reddy. Profit for the Q4 remained flat at Rs 73 crore, while total income went up by 33 per cent to Rs.1,323 crore. It has an order book of about Rs12,800 crore of which 52 per cent comes from water projects, he said.
