Apollo Health Street to set up $20m-centre

Aug. 11: Apollo Health Street (AHS), the healthcare service management arm of the Apollo group, is setting up a new centre at Siruseri, the IT corridor of Chennai, at an investment of $20 million.
"The project will be implemented in three phases and the first phase will be ready within next three months and the entire project will be completed by 30-36 months. The centre will provide job for 3,000 professionals," said Ms Sangitha Reddy, managing director, Apollo Health Street.
Speaking at the launch of its new office Chennai, she said, "This is our first step to build a significant presence for AHS in Chennai, which has been an important hub for the Apollo Group of Hospitals."
"Our solutions encompass a comprehensive suite of platform enabled back-office services that span the hospital revenue cycle workflow from patient admission, claims processing and receivables management," she added.
Currently, the Chennai centre is operating with 75 people and it will be increased to 500 people in the next two years.
According to Apollo Heath Street managing director, the $100-million company has made two major acquisitions in the last two years and is now in a consolidation stage.
