Hearing other petitions filed in relation to the case, the apex court also issued notices to the Mumbai government and CBI on bail petitions filed by three other convicts of the blasts - Suleman Mohammed Basam Ghawake, Bashir Ahmed Usman Gani and Dawood Phanse. Thirteen serial blasts rocked Mumbai on March 12, 1993, killing 257 people and injuring around 1400. Around hundred people were convicted in the case including Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt who was sentenced for six years. Presently he is out on bail.
