Kolkata Night Riders beats Royal Challangers in IPL

Shah Rukh Khan's team Kolkata Knight Riders beat Vijay Mallya's Royal Challengers in the DLF IPL tournament's first match.

Ganguly's Kolkata Knight Riders have created havoc at the Chinnaswamy stadium hammering the ball all around the park. The IPL extravaganza, which began with much fanfare at Bangalore's Chinnaswamy stadium between Bangalore's Royal Challengers and Kolkata's Knight Riders, proved to a cracker of a clash.

Despite the fact that Sourav Ganguly and Ricky Ponting departed early, one man has single handedly pulverised 'The Royal Challengers' bowling attack, all thanks to a 53 ball hundred by Brendon McCullum. The first century of the tournament coming in the opener as McCullum hit 14 sixes enroute to his brilliant unbeaten 158 runs out of just 73 balls.

Shah Rukh Khan's batsmen finished on 222 runs in 20 overs. Chasing 222, Dravid's Royal Challengers were all out  for 82 runs.  For Kolkata Knight Riders, Ajit Agarkar picked up 3 wicekts.
