Indian Institutes of Technology propose fee hike

With the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) proposing to hike fees, the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) has come up with a similar suggestion to augment their resources. Briefing the media in the national capital on Tuesday, Director of IIT Delhi, Surendra Prasad said that there is a proposal to hike the fee but the final decision will come from the government. “The students in all the seven IITs are currently paying fee, which is Rs 25,000 per annum. It could be increased upto Rs 50,000”, he said....
