The Supreme Court today dismissed a petition seeking quashing of criminal cases filed in Rahul Mahajan drug case against Five doctors
New Delhi: The Supreme Court today dismissed a petition seeking quashing of criminal cases filed in Rahul Mahajan drug case against Five doctors of Delhi's renowned Apollo Hospital. A bench headed by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan today refused to quash the cases filed against the doctors, allegedly for trying to manipulate the evidences in the case. The doctors in their petition had appealed the court that all charges framed against them were falsely leveled by Delhi Police. Earlier, Delhi high Court had also dismissed a similar petition last year. Rahul Mahajan, son of slain Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leader Pramod Mahajan was booked by Delhi police in a Drug case after he was hospitalised after drug over-dose.
Several others were also arrested in the same case after the then secretary of Pramod Mahajan, Bibek Moitra, lost his life after having drug over-dose in company with Rahul Mahajan.
