Surjeet in Noida hospital

Noida, May 15: Veteran Marxist leader Harkishan Singh Surjeet has been admitted in a hospital here with an acute respiratory problem.

The 92-year-old Surjeet, who was admitted to Metro Hospital here, is on ventilator and his condition was described as "serious but stable".

The CPI(M) leader "is in a serious condition due to respiratory problems. He is under intensive care and his condition is stable," said a party release.

"His condition is serious but stable. All those on ventilator are always serious cases. However, he is stable," the owner of the hospital, Dr Purushottam Lal, said. (PTI)
