Naqvi hits out at BSP ‘horror show’

New Delhi

May 29: BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Thursday hit out at the "horrors of Haathi," which is the election symbol of the BSP, in the wake of the Arushi murder case.

Seizing the opportunity to attack the BSP government, he said Uttar Pradesh has been witnessing a sort of "horror show" ever since Ms Mayawati came to power as Uttar Pradesh chief minister and charged the Centre with turning a blind eye towards it.

Referring to the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh, Mr Naqvi said that every district in Uttar Pradesh has distressing situation building up. Mr Naqvi said Ms Mayawati’s decision to recommend a CBI probe into the case shows she has no faith in the state police. "People have been gradually losing faith in the state’s police force," he said.
