"No, we have not formally arrested him," said a senior police officer in Jaipur. The police had picked up IT employee Rashid Hussein from Bangalore. "We picked up several other suspects for questioning and freed them subsequently when the police did not find any involvement," the senior police officer said. According to the police, Rashid had links with Simi in the past. Additional director-general of police A.K. Jain denied the IT employee had been held. *** Police gets letter warning of attacks Jaipur, June 5: A letter addressed to the police, warning that bomb attacks will be carried out here, was found in a flowerpot in front of a branch of an international bank on Thursday. "We were informed by employees of the HSBC bank in the C-Scheme area that they had found the letter in a flowerpot in front of the bank. The letter says, ‘Be prepared for a bomb blast between June 6 and 10.’ We are looking into it and have launched investigations," a police official said. On May 13, 65 people were killed and over 200 injured when serial blasts rocked Jaipur’s Walled City. The terror attack was the first in the history of the Rajasthan capital. —IANS
