After attending a function at Jammu University, Union Railway Minister, Lalu Prasad Yadav, paid visit to Vaishno Devi shrine on Sunday with his wife and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi. Tight security arrangements were made at the shrine in view of heavy Navratra rush. Large number of devotees were mesmerised by the presence of railway minister in their close vicinity.

Lalu, who was also accompained by his four daughters and a son on his tour to the shrine, is also expected to attend a review meeting of the Katra Udhampur railway project and visit Reasi to inspect the ongoing work at the world's tallest bridge.

Earlier, on Saturday the railway minister flagged off a fully air-conditioned weekly train 'Garib Rath Express' from Jammu station to run between Jammu and Kathgodam.
