A win will take Knight Riders to second spot. For the Mumbai Indians, a win with a wide margin will take them out the bottom spot on the table.

The Knight Riders have won two matches out of three and have the best run rate in this eight-team league. Chennai Super Kings led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the only team with a clean slate after their fourth round and are leading the chart. Underdogs Rajasthan Royals have surprised everyone and have moved to the second spot after winning three of their four matches.
