‘We have separate files for every player’

May 25: The muharat was a super-hit. But the Knight Riders’ script went badly wrong as the Indian Premier League meandered along.

For the Knight Riders’ team management, it’s time now for retrospection. To figure out where they went wrong and how the problems should be rectified for a better future.

With this in mind, team owner Shah Rukh Khan, captain Sourav Ganguly and coach John Buchanan will meet on Monday and some important decisions are likely to be taken.

The team management, it is learnt, has already started planning for the next year and the fitness reports of the players will play a big role in the decision making.

"We have a debriefing to do in the meeting," physio Andrew Leipus told this newspaper.

"We have separate files for every player," he added.

According to a source, the Knight Riders have already set sights on a few players for the next season and Misbah-ul Haq is one of them.

The Pakistan batsman is playing for the Bangalore Royal Challengers.

Players will be up for sale when the IPL transfer window opens in February.
