New faces Ojha, Yusuf in ODI team

May 30: Left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha and all-rounder Yusuf Pathan’s
impressive performances in the Indian Premier League have given the duo a place
in the 15-member squad for the Bangladesh tri-series and the Asia Cup to be
played next month.
Also making a comeback is 21-year-old left-handed batsman Suresh Raina.
The tri-series will be held in Bangladesh from June 8, followed by Asia Cup
from June 24 in Pakistan. Munaf Patel and Dinesh Karthik, who were part of the
CB Series in Australia, have not been included.
Apart from the selectors, Dav Whatmore, Director of National Cricket Academy,
Gary Kirtsen, coach, BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah and Mahendra Singh Dhoni
attended the meeting at the BCCI centre here on Friday.
Dhoni will lead the team and Yuvraj Singh continues as his deputy.
Apart from Ojha and Yusuf, Piyush Chawla is the other spinner included in the
squad.
Five seamers in the team are Ishant Sharma, R.P. Singh, Praveen Kumar, S.
Sreesanth, and Yusuf’s half-brother Irfan Pathan.

Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan
