Hamilton enjoys love in the fast lane

The world of auto racing, particularly in rarified Formula 1, presents a
romantic mix of fast cars and fast girls. In that world, Lewis Hamilton is the
latest kid on the block, with a fan following far beyond his tax haven of
Switzerland. His love life is generally the stuff of dreams, or of tabloids,
perhaps moving from one to the other in a sequence. Apparently, his budding
romance with ‘Pussycat Doll’ pop star Nicole Scherzinger is continuing at
the pace of his driving.
After a brief return to her native America to celebrate her 30th birthday in
Las Vegas two weeks ago, Scherzinger rushed back to Europe to be with Hamilton
following his Grand Prix win at Silverstone where Hamilton roared back to form
in pouring rain in which he put daylight between himself and the rest of the
pack. The race ace is, however, not so popular with former girl friend Vivian
Burkhardt, who said:
"After we were pictured arm in arm at Cannes, suddenly the whole world knew me
as Lewis’ girlfriend. But days after he was pictured cosying up to Nicole in
Monaco. I was very disappointed.
I thought he could have shown me a little more respect. It looked like he was
playing me.
And I felt the world was laughing at me. He called me soon after and has been
in touch almost every day since but I don't even want to talk to him about it."
