Bhullar tied sixth
Jakarta, Aug. 28: Gaganjeet Bhullar came up with the best show by an Indian, a four-under 68, to lie tied sixth before lightning dropped early curtains on the opening round of the $400,000 Pertamina Indonesia President Invitational golf tournament here on Thursday.
Chinese Taipei star Lin Wen-tang fired an impressive eight-under 64 for the clubhouse lead, blasting an eagle at the par-five 13th hole, coupled with seven birdies.
A total of 15 players will return to complete the opening round on Friday.
Among other Indians, only Himmat Rai (71) could manage a sub-par card that had him at tied 33rd. Anirban Lahiri went one-over 73 to be 63rd, a place he shared with Rahil Gangjee. — PTI
Harmeet Kahlo and Gurbaaz Mann were tied 90th at three-over 75, followed by RS Rathore (77), Naman Dawar (79) and Amandeep Johl (80).
