Maoists guns down six people in Bihar
Sasaram (Bihar): Banned Communist Party of India- Maoist guerrillas today shot dead six persons of a rival naxalite outfit in Bihar's Rohtas district. Informing the media, S K Bharadwaj, Additional Inspector General (operations) said, "Six members of Sashastra People's Morcha (SPM), a naxalite outfit mostly active in Jharkhand, were shot dead in Tardih forest in Rohtas."
The victims, involved in armed resistance against the CPI (Maoist), were renegade members of the organisation, Bharadwaj added.
While clarifying that those killed were not police informers, Bharadwaj said that the maoists were from Barachatti and Mohanpur areas of Gaya district, close to Jharkhand border.
