Retired teacher dies before receiving pension

Purnima Bhaduri, MA, an assistant teacher (English) completed years of service in Jagacha Girls’ High School, Jagacha, Howrah and retired from her service in September 2003. Her pension papers were submitted in DI office Howrah in March 2004. It is really a pathetic story that she did not get her pension when she was alive and died of an incurable disease. It is not known how many retired teachers have died from incurable diseases without pension. She died on 3 June, 2006. When she was alive she had requested officials and even DI, to arrange for her pension as early as possible but of no avail....
