Oct. 4: Despite a busy schedule, Kolkata Knight Riders franchise owner Shah Rukh Khan dropped in at the Cricket Association of Bengal premises on Saturday to meet its president Jagmohan Dalmiya over alleged financial irregularities concerning the IPL and the state association. The meeting lasted around half-an-hour.
Later in a press conference, Dalmiya said: "There are certain grey areas that need to be sorted out. We discussed certain matters which cannot be divulged at this moment. Otherwise, the entire discussion was very positive. He (Shah Rukh) too has promised to come back and talk about other aspects as well if required."
To clear the imbalances, the CAB had formed an IPL committee here that estimated an amount of Rs 7 crore, 26 lakh as the association’s expenditure while hosting Twenty20 matches at the Eden Gardens. The bill had been duly sent to the IPL governing council and to Red Chillies Entertainment a month ago. Dalmiya reiterated that feedback had arrived from the concerned parties but did not disclose further details.
